Biography

John L. Mariotti is Founder & CEO of The Enterprise Group—Time-shared Executive Advisors.

He advises a number of well-known companies. For almost 15 years he was President of major businesses: Huffy Bicycles where he led Huffy to the preeminent position in the US and world bicycle market and then of Rubbermaid’s multi-national Office Products Group. He is now a Director/Advisor on several corporate boards.

Mariotti has written eight business-related books: including The Power of Partnerships, The Shape Shifters (Wiley), Collaborating for Success (a mini-book—Berrett-Koehler), Smart Things to Know about Brands, Smart Things to Know about Marketing, and Smart Things to Know about Partnerships (Capstone/Wiley), Making Partnerships Work, and Marketing Express,– www.expressexec.com (Capstone/Wiley), and The Silence –Mariotti’s first novel published in late 2002. He is also a contributor to Business—The Ultimate Resource Perseus, 2002) and to the Encyclopedia of Health Care Management (Sage Publications 2004).

Mariotti has been host of his own 1-hour radio talk show on the North American Broadcasting Network, has appeared on CNBC, and is a widely heard public speaker/keynoter. For the past decade, Mariotti was, for five years, the regular management columnist for IndustryWeek, has written for Fortune Small Business (www.fsb.com) , was a weekly columnist and commentary writer for the American Management Association (www.mworld.org), a contributor to Management Centre Europe (www.mce.be), and to Executive Excellence as well as many other publications.
