MASK UP, DISTANCE, WASH YOUR HANDS, AND HOPE FOR VACCINES AND TREATMENTS (BY YEAR END?)
Now we know that the Coronavirus (sent to the US by China) is not going away, and no amount of political rancor can change that—it’s time to face the facts. Even the best vaccines are usually 50-60% effective, because viruses mutate; they don’t stay the same. On a percentage basis, it appears that less than 1% of those infected actually become severely ill and the ones with underlying health (diabetes, heart problems, obesity, etc.) problems die from it. But with a virus this contagious, that’s a big number of deaths. COVID-19 chooses certain populations as most vulnerable. Minorities, especially dark-skinned ones (who are concentrated in America's large cities) and even certain blood types—Type A, seem most at risk

LESSON: During the reign of Mayor Richard J. Daley and Democrats in Chicago, their motto was “Vote Early,Vote Often”— the polls were stuffed with votes from people long dead and gone. LESSON: PREDICTED A LONG TIME AGO—RETAIL MEDICAL CARE IS COMING
Going to Walmart, the largest retailer in the US, is a regular event for millions of Americans every week. Now those people can also get their routine medical care at retail stores and urgent care centers. Walmart is just ramping up; CVS is already deeply involved; Walgreens is coming too. Telemedicine is now an accepted way to “see the Doctor.” Up next: Retail Testing on a broader scale. Companies like Quest Diagnostics are already out there doing it—a lot!

LESSON: U.S. COLLEGES MAY NEVER BE THE SAME & ONLINE EDUCATION FOR THE MASSES IS NOT WORKING
The massive flow of foreign students has been disrupted, leaving many schools in trouble. The educational model inherited from Europe two centuries ago, will no longer work in the era of the Pandemic. Bringing students together in a room to listen to the wise professor is fraught with problems—not the least of which is the wise professors aren’t as wise any more. Educating all kinds of learners at very different abilities is a “one-size-fits-all” solution that fits very few students. A new model must emerge. Home schooling works for a minority of dedicated parents who can do it well, but for the vast majority, home-based, on-line education is often bad education that will set students behind for years.

LESSON: FINANCIAL RESCUES ARE CREATING AS MANY PROBLEMS AS THEY ARE SOLVING
Paying people too much to stay home instead of providing the incentive to get out and find jobs, is a BAD IDEA.  Helping them through a crisis with unemployment compensation (at "moderate levels”) of less than they earn by working, is a good idea.  The "too big” ($600) rescues are ruining capitalism. Easy money and constant stimulus have undermined the American work ethic and basic dynamics of the free market. We’ve paid the price in low growth and productivity, falling entrepreneurship and rising inequality, writes the chief global strategist at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

LESSON:OF COURSE RUSSIA WILL MEDDLE IN US ELECTIONS—BECAUSE THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT
How much more evidence do we need to believe this? As long as the so-called Main-Stream Media (MSM) is not really News, but instead carefully crafted “Opinions" that are presented as if they were “News,”  The American people are easy prey for misinformation, deception, propaganda and meddling by countries like Russia and China.

By now, some of you have noticed that I suspended THE ENTERPRISE for the past few months. Everyone is reeling from unprecedented events, and I decided to wait a bit, before adding more to think about. Here we are on July 10, with the elections just four short months away on Nov. 3. 

NO ONE CAN PREDICT WHAT A "BLACK SWAN EVENT" WILL DO TO THE STATUS QUO--EXCEPT CHANGE EVERYTHING.

The coronavirus changed everything—globally—(and the race riots shoved it off the front page (temporarily), in spite of 100,000+ deaths,. And more to come.

HOW ON EARTH DID WE GET IN THIS MESS, AND WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT.

 Can the Covid-19 Pandemic be contained, cured? Not yet!  Shutdowns helped, but crippled the economy. China spawned the Coronavirus and infected the world. Trump's shutdown of (immigration from China & Europe—some said too soon—others, in retrospect— too late. Action was needed. The USA was truly unprepared. A massive global search for Covid Vaccine and treatments is underway, but is months away from success.

Entire States & Big Cities are poorly managed, deep in debt . These are densely populated cities, all run by Democrats, and all are a mess. The elderly, infirm, poor people, racial minorities clustered in these cities, are vulnerable & suffering most from Covid-19. Mismanaged States & Cities now decided they want Federal bailouts, (but don’t deserve them, because their own errors created their problems). Their Racial unrest turned into rioting, looting, and demonstrations in US cities where the Democrat mayors are inept, and do little or nothing. Calls to “defund Police”—are a terrible idea, (Of course Dem Mayors tolerated it).
        

The USPS, deep in losses, is being relied upon for the next elections, leaving Congress no choice but to bail out Postal Service to keep it functioning—for  Mail in elections, which are vulnerable to Fraud, (but going to the Voting Polls can be a health risk—or can it be managed?).

The Pandemic has caused thousands of deaths, much suffering, and shut down all major events where people gather:, with huge economic impacts. TV is in a huge, turbulent transition: cord cutting, proliferation of new streaming services, and missing big profitable attractions—Sports & Entertainment. 

• Globalization in trouble; supply chains disrupted (China & others), protectionism rising, diversification growing. Unprecedented shortagesarose from “broken supply chains” and shut down businesses.  Oil prices cratered due to global oversupply and reduced demand 
• The Fed keeps interest rates near zero, as debt and deficits reach record levels—someday the impact will be felt—it is dumping $ Trillions into the suffering economy—creating an unpaid debt—forever? Housing startswhich were way up, have now declined as the Virus/Shutdown took hold, but are showing signs of a modest recovery. 

 A major culture shift to work-at-home will likely leave many office buildings unnecessary/unused—& people working from home. The stock market plummets, then rises and falls as every news release triggers volatility, 

• Contact-less, impersonal, distancing with shut-ins, deprive both job-less and employed people of needed human contact. On-linee-commerce volume is exploding, grocery/food pickup and delivery too, while stores are closed or limited

The US labor market was devastated; is struggling to recover; as fragile companies file for Bankruptcy. The US has also learned it must take back control of its critical needs, make more of them at home.

Schools don’t know what to do about opening, although youths seem less vulnerable to virus. The loss of sports revenue adds to woes.  Colleges got “fat” on endless demand, ever increasing prices, but now will suffer and many will fail

Extra pay for unemployment payments relieves some pain, but has undercut the return to work motivation—as people stay home with their $600/week extra pay.

Infrastructure, already in need of rebuilding, suffers from tax revenue losses as people drive less. This could be fixed if the US Congress could function properly…but it can’t!

 

As we approach another election, the "blame game" is on—for 2020 Election Claims: Trump-GOP mismanaged virus, Dems mismanaged cities and states, support riots, looting, etc..

A FEW ECONOMIC POINTS TO REMEMBER:

1) The US government has NO Wealth of its own. It only has what wealth it can take from American people in taxes and levies (tariffs, etc.).

2) ONLY those Americans who work in the private sector can create and accumulate wealth. 

Perhaps it would be smart to have a president who understands that , instead of a career politician whose entire life was spending “other people’s [tax] money, and doing nothing, getting nothing done. Yes, I’m talking about JOE BIDEN, smiling, clueless, unable to lead, being steered by radical element of the left wing of the Democrat party, led by Bernie Sanders and owned by Nancy Pelosi.

3) Government was created to work for the people, not vice-versa—and to do things the people couldn’t do for themselves

The US economy was roaring along until THIS ALL happened. 

Why was the economy roaring along?  

Largely because of President Donald Trump’s policies, and actions. Of course many people don’t like him. All they ever hear is negatives, and he’s his own worst enemy half the time—but his policies and strategies were working great! 

POLITICS: 

(Warning: Reader discretion is advised: This is where some readers may disagree, but that’s how THE ENTERPRISE came into existence 20+ years ago—to expose and explore the issues and conflicts in business, politics and life!)

Reelecting Trump is the only alternative for returning the US to prosperity and success it was enjoying before China unleashed the Coronavirus on the world.

The worst thing that could happen to the USA would be the election of Joe Biden—and enough Senators to shift control of the Senate to the Democrats—who seem determined to destroy the USA and the American way of life—like they have destroyed most major cities! 

Biden and the Democrats clearly are in favor of the chaos currently being created in America by people whose goal is to destroy America's rule of law and heritage. 

WE cannot let that happen. WE, the American People, must retain Donald Trump, whose love for America and desire to protect the American way of life, transcends all his negatives.

BACKGROUND (my version of it)

In 2016 Donald Trump shocked the world,  and many in the USA by being elected president over Hillary Clinton, who looked like a sure winner according all the polls. But nobody told the voters!  The Democrat party, and the Mainstream Media (MSM), who had all “crowned" Clinton before she was elected, have never gotten over their disbelief, dismay, and outrage. Both have tried everything political, editorial, immoral, legal and illegal to thwart Trump's efforts as president and also to get him removed from office. 

This resistance is further evident by a record for the Trump administration in time taken to fill positions and get appointees to be approved — longer than any prior President. Many still aren’t filled, and Trump's first term is almost over. The Obama holdovers are suspected as the ones (“the deep state”) who continue to leak and disrupt government  functions of Trump’s administration.

Trump, much to the dismay of many (Republicans too), has been a "personal mess,” at times. His narcissism, egotism and self-aggrandizement has been unsettling, and at times, appalling. He uses Twitter to communicate (often ill-advised) to the American public—friends and foes alike. Trump has also turned over staff at record rates, too..

The Main Stream Media(MSM) is 90% negative—against Trump, They are either Democrats, liberals, left-leaning, Socialistic, or some combination of those.) and the MSM has used its media presence to spread ALL one-sided (ALL negative “news”—omitting anything positive). The MSM is critical of everything President Trump does or says. Many SO-CALLED “news” items are FALSE, fabricated from opinions or PLUCKED out of "thin air." 

 YES, TRUMP is often infuriating, outspoken, blunt, and self-congratulatory, to name just a few of his “virtues.” He exaggerates a lot, stretches the truth to (past) the breaking point, and refuses to conduct himself the way some Americans expect from their president. And he won’t change, because the biases of his opposition are often based on misinformation, hoaxes, and items planned to disrupt. (Some of these are strongly suspected to originate in the Russian media’s dis-information campaigns.)

President Trump has been so reactive that he retaliates against the “ injustice” of smallest and largest of insults or opponents attacks. He simply cannot help himself, but to “fire back,” when he’d be wiser to keep his mouth shut (&Tweets to himself). Trump (and his Twitter Tweets) made him, at many times, his own worst enemy.  

 A DANGEROUS ELEMENT WITHIN THE US GOVERNMENT?  

Former President Barack Obama stated clearly, his intent was, “to fundamentally change America”—and he tried his best/worst to do that.

Vaunted institutions like the US Dept. of Justice and the FBI were corrupted and under the Obama-Biden administration they used broad privileges of their offices, to illegally attack candidate and then President Trump. 

The entire Mueller Special Prosecutor investigation spanning 2+ years, has been exposed as a total fabrication,  one that should never have been started, based on falsehoods fabricated by the DNC and Hillary Clinton. (Which itself was exposed to be illicit). Even the FISA Court was compromised to aid these behaviors. 

Next, Nancy Pelosi “caved" to the left-wing of her party, and led a failed Impeachment based on the highly questionable foundations.  Trump’s claims were later revealed as accurate! Never before have the top law enforcement branches of the Federal Government attacked a candidate and then a sitting president with such relentless abandon. Adam Schiff and his allies blatantly lied, throughout the entire fiasco, claiming secret information of which he had—none.

During all of this, what did Trump do? He used the power of his Presidency, Executive Orders, and GOP control of the Senate to accomplish many of his campaign promises, and rejuvenate America, leading to the strongest the USA has been in decades! 

Nowhere in the MSM will the American public find this kind of list. (Maybe on Fox News, on the Internet, or the Wall Street Journal, but never in or on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, Washington Post, etc. etc.) Trump promised a lot—and tried keep his promises.

Here are a few: (PAY ATTENTION, BECAUSE JOE BIDEN IS STARTING TO “STEAL THESE IDEAS”—but he has no idea HOW TO IMPLEMENT THEM— so they would fail in his hands, and American would SUFFER.

• •Stood up to China forcing changes in trade policy and practices.
• •Cancelled the TPA trade deal which did little for the USA
• •Pulled out of the Paris Climate Accords saving the US billions.
• •Exited the terrible Iran agreements, which Iran violated at will.
• •Held NATO members accountable to pay their agreed upon share
• •Negotiated a new trade deal to replace NAFTA—United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA),
• •Rebuilt a misdirected/depleted US Defense & Military strength
• •Deregulated/removed many Obama’s stifling regulations, allowing US economic growth
• •Changed the NLRB and replaced the head of the CFPB
• •Passed a tax cut for all Americans, to help low/middle income Americans (and rich ones too)
• •Maintained benefits for Seniors (SS, Medicare, & Medicaid)
• •Tightened immigration & Border security, stopped caravans of illegals, began building “the Wall” where most needed 
• •Nominated & confirmed two Supreme Court Justices
• •Nominated & confirmed 200+ Judges with another 50+/- pending
• •Created economic/job growth & lowest US unemployment in modern history—including for minorities.
• •Blocked immigrant entry from known terrorist countries/areas
• •Drove ISIS out of Middle East strongholds & crippled its evil regime
• •Acted in Syria to enforce bans on chemical/biological weapons

AND…This is only a partial list…

ThIS presidential race offers a binary choice, where the polarization of parties is bad as ever

—Democrats choose the bland, aged, pliable, choice—Obama’s former VP Joe Biden, a Senator with an undistinguished record. 

—Republicans, hope to reelect Donald Trump, the SHOCKING 2016 GOP winner, a “blowhard,” a narcissist, who bends the facts to his liking, BUT…WHO KNOWS HOW TO GET THE USA RUNNING AND CAN DO IT AGAIN (Unless Democrats in Congress block those improvements.

—Senate control is also up for grabs, with twice the GOP seats (23) due for election, than Dems (12).

OPINION: BIDEN IS A HUGE MISTAKE, A DISASTROUS CHOICE

—Joe Biden has been "hiding in his basement," using a strategy of “the less he’s exposed, the less his (age-related) failings will be revealed.” 

—Biden’s mental and verbal acuity have shown worrisome signs, leading many (including Dems) to question: "can HE lead and govern as president at his age, in his condition?” 

—Even his gait illustrates his age. Maybe he walks that way because he has Bernie Sanders arm and hand up this back like the Puppet he is! With Biden’s age and physical condition, he cannot even stand the rigors of a normal campaign, let alone those of serving as an effective president if elected. 

—Voting via mail can easily cause and fraud claims of all sorts. And delayed results—

 

To date, Biden’s been a smiling figurehead, with bland, scripted attacks and pronouncements designed not to offend anyone—except GOP voters. If elected, he will be forced to be a “puppet” by stronger party forces. He uses prepared scripts and Teleprompters to make coherent statements. 

—Worst of all is Biden's apparent tacit support for and compliance with the riotous and disruptive forces driving the USA into disastrous directions.

—Now he’s using Bernie Sanders “playbook” and plagiarizing Trump’s (successful) campaign themes—altho he has NO IDEA how to use them!

TRUMP CONTINUES TO BE TRUMP—BUT ULTIMATELY—“GETS THINGS ‘RIGHT' FAR MORE OFTEN THAN NOT!"

—Donald Trump, on the other hand continues "to be Trump.”  His love of country is evident.  He leads decisively and wisely—at times—then comes up with behaviors/statements that leave people shaking their heads in dismay/disgust. Plus, He has a tendency to rapidly replace staff who disagree or do poorly, which is not uncommon among presidents. He just does it faster and more abruptly. 

—Of course, the mainstream media is still 90% negative on Trump, seldom reporting anything he accomplishes, and putting a negative “spin” on every, frequent report.

 

 

 

THE SEARCH FOR TRUTH IN NEWS? 

Simply finding an objective and accurate source for news is difficult or impossible.  MSM—network and cable “news” is no longer as much “news” as it is Opinion—and biased opinion at that. Except top rated Fox New, all other major" news” networks and newspapers are solidly left-leaning liberal Democratic supporters—unabashedly! 

The financially-oriented media, seems most reliable: the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, et. al.) since they are accustomed to measurable results, albeit with widely different interpretations of why those results happened and whether they are good or bad.

NOW WHAT WILL YOU DO—AND WILL YOU HELP TO RE-ELECT TRUMP—TO PROTECT AMERICA

 (Despite your concerns about his “flaws and antics?”)

Yes, he makes us all crazy at times with his behavior, antics and outspoken manner. 

But…when it comes to “crunch time,” Trump makes the right decisions for America and the American way of life. 

The Obama-Biden duo was in control for EIGHT YEARS, and look what condition they left behind. All talk and very little action, except to make "their idea of government bigger, and America smaller." 

 Ask yourself this: If the Obama-Biden agenda was so good, so right for America, WHY did they resort to FBI lies, subterfuge and illegal/illicit methods to undermine Trump? Could they only accomplish their goals by such (unethical/illegal) behaviors?

BIDEN HAS ALREADY STATED HIS FIRST OBJECTIVE: 

Raise Taxes, Sink the Economy—Raise taxes on all Americans by eliminating the Trump tax cuts that fueled economic growth & prosperity. (How else can Biden pay for the left wing “freebies” he has adopted from the Bernie Sanders platform?)

Defund the Police—Tolerate the Violent Mobs—the disruptive, destructive mobs, destroying America’s largest cities—under the pretense of protests  (All cities that have been under Democratic control for decades).

2. Deficits and debts are very high and will go higher; why fight budget battles when you can print (or borrow) more money?
3. A recovery is beginning, but from a new low after the shutdowns. Whether it continues? See No. 1
4. Police (& Demonstrators/Racial) conflicts and killings continue as gutless, clueless Democrat Mayors (of big cities) "dither…”
5. The Virus won’t go away any time soon; even vaccines at 60-70% effectiveness won’t eliminate the threat to vulnerable groups—how many will die?.
6. Commerce suffers: retail, hospitality, group gatherings, and travel all suffer, & the weaker ones disappear (Ch. 11).
7. The plight of US’big cities (& states) controlled for decades by Democrats is a good predictor of how they will do running the country! Disaster!
